DAVID J (BAUHAUS / LOVE & ROCKETS)
Bauhaus and Love & Rockets bassist David J has announced a few West Coast tour dates in May in support of new solo compilation Tracks from the Attic. Stops include Portland, Seattle, Oakland, Santa Rosa, Los Angeles and Pioneertown.
THE HOLD STEADY
The Hold Steady have announced their Constructive Summer 2024 series, featuring weekend residencies in Toronto, Seattle, DC, Denver and Atlanta. “We are excited to be coming to Toronto, Seattle, Washington D.C., Denver, and Atlanta for our 2024 Constructive Summer,” says The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn. “These are some of our favorite cities to play, and we’re looking forward to gathering with the THS community – that’s what makes these weekends so special.” Half of those shows take place in either the spring or fall, but really summer is a state of mind. WILCO
Wilco have announced more summer tour dates surrounding their Solid Sound Festival, including shows in Milwaukee, Chicago, Raleigh, NYC, Toronto and Chautauqua, NY. Cut Worms opens all US shows, and the Toronto dates are with Katie Cruel.
PITCHFORK FEST 2024
Pitchfork has announced the lineup for its 2024 festival in Chicago with headliners Alanis Morissette, Black Pumas and Jamie xx, plus Jai Paul, Brittany Howard, Carly Rae Jepsen, 100 gecs, Mannequin Pussy, Jessie Ware, Jeff Rosenstock, MUNA, Grandmaster Flash, billy woods & Kenny Segal, and more.
BRATMOBILE
Bratmobile announced their first NYC show in over 20 years earlier this year, and now they’ve added a few more dates to their schedule.
EXHUMED / SKELETAL REMAINS / MORBIKON
Goregrind vets Exhumed will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1998 debut album Gore Metal and the upcoming reissues of In the Name of Gore, Slaughtercult, and Anatomy Is Destiny with a May/June tour with Skeletal Remains and Morbikon. All dates (including Brooklyn’s Meadows on May 28 with additional support from Bonginator here.
L’IMPERATRICE
French disco outfit L’Imperatrice will be here this spring but have already announced extensive fall dates with include a NYC show at Terminal 5 on September 7.
JESSICA PRATT
Jessica Pratt is gearing up to release her anticipated new album Here in the Pitch on May 3 via Mexican Summer and hit the road after that, and she’s just expanded her tour. After selling out London and NYC shows months in advance, she added second dates in each city, and she also upgraded her Pioneertown show to a larger venue and added new shows in San Diego, Vancouver, Cleveland, DC, Nashville, Atlanta, and more.
RESIDENTE
Influential Puerto Rican rapper (and Calle 13 member) Residente has announced a tour in support of his new solo album Las letras ya no importan. There are two US shows: NYC’s Radio City Music Hall on September 18 and Los Angeles’ YouTube Theatre on September 20.
GZA
Wu-Tang Clan legend GZA is staying busy on the road this year; he’s in Europe on his “Liquid Swords Live” tour now, with North American dates resuming at the end of the month and running through April.
THE LEMON TWIGS
The Lemon Twigs’ new album A Dream is All We Know is out May 3 and they’ll be on tour around the same time.
JOHN FOGERTY
John Fogerty has announced “The Celebration Tour,” which has him out performing the songs of Creedence Clearwater Revival for the first time since regaining rights to his catalog. His band includes his sons Shane and Tyler, and the tour has them out with George Thorogood & The Destroyers and Hearty Har.
SERPENTWITHFEET
serpentwithfeet will be on the road in May and June in North America WITH MiLES, supporting his third album, GRIP.
LOMA PRIETA
San Francisco screamo vets Loma Prieta returned last year with their great new album Last (their first in 8 years), and now they’re gearing up for an East Coast tour behind it. It happens right after they play Chicago’s ZBR Fest, and it includes opening the Boston date of the Orchid reunion tour. The Northeast shows are with Slow Fire Pistol and the Southeast shows are with PeZ.
FROM INDIAN LAKES
From Indian Lakes have announced a new album, Head Void, due May 15, as well as a tour.
SETH HERZOG’S SWEET
The March edition of Seth Herzog’s long-running comedy show SWEET happens Tuesday, March 19 at Chelsea Music Hall. Guests include Drew Michael, Caitlin Cook, Zach Zucker plus a couple surprise guests Seth swears you’ll definitely want to see. Tickets are on sale.
